On 30 April 2004 George Moustaki gave a concert hosted by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on the occasion of his 70th birthday in his hometown of Alexandria. A huge success, the concert was attended by a large audience of enthusiastic Alexandrians. The event was sponsored by the French Cultural Center of Alexandria, Air France, Virgin Music, TV5, Alcatel, Onyx and Lotus.
