  Abstract

The Digital Health Cluster in London
The UK is internationally renowned for delivering excellent healthcare. Our National Health Service (NHS) is the world’s largest integrated health system and has provided high-quality services for nearly 70 years, supported by academia and innovative commercial healthcare companies. Digital health is seen as crucial for enabling sustainable, high-quality patient-centered care, and the UK healthcare sector recognized this more than 30 years ago and now develops some of the most sophisticated systems in the world for tracking, managing and delivering its health and social care services. The diverse and expanding UK digital technology sector has grown over the past five years, despite a challenging economic climate. Digital companies in the UK are nationally dispersed and growing, with 74% of them being outside London and 90% expecting revenues to grow next year. There is no doubt that digital health will continue to grow and the possibilities it brings to impact positively on peoples lives is one of the most exciting revolutions of our times.
