Fighting the Obesity Epidemic

As a continuation of its role in improving the Scientific Education and Health Awareness, the CSSP organized the Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyles series of lectures as a part of the Health Education Club activities.
Fighting the Obesity Epidemic lecture was held on Thursday, 20 October 2011;
12:00 noon - 2:00 pm, in the Small Theater located at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Conference Center.
There are several techniques you can follow in your everyday life to begin to fight obesity. If you have recently had a health scare, or have just decided you want to make a change in your life, you can change your quality of life through a combination of eating healthier and increasing your activity level.
The "Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyles" lecture aimed to clarify the difference between diet and lifestyle changes, what exactly nutrition is, the different components of nutrition and how they add to calories, and finally how to make the proper choices for a better healthy lifestyle.
And was presented by Dr. Doaa Genena, Nutrition Consultant, and Obesity and Thinness Specialist.
During the lecture, a Body Fat Calculator was available to guide and help you determine your own Body Mass Index.
Registration fees: EGP 20.00
Seats were limited and attendance was by registration only.
