The German-Egyptian Year for Cooperation
in Science and Technology
As 2007 was declared "The German-Egyptian year for Cooperation in Science and Technology", the Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute (CMRDI) was selected to be the focal point in materials science and nanotechnology. Accordingly, a series of workshops is organized in this context in a number of scientific fields as follows:
Workshops with Germany:

Materials-Based Manufacturing technologies, to be held from 7-9th May 2007 in CMRDI, Egypt.

Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, to be held from 4-6th September 2007 in Stuttgart, Germany.

Materials Behavior, Qualification and Characterization, to be held in November 2007, in the German University in Cairo (GUC).
Workshop with Sweden:
A workshop on Materials Processing and Manufacturing Technologies, in Cairo from 14-16 May 2007
International Conference
CMRDI will organize from 19-22 May 2007 an international conference on Metals Processing and Manufacturing MPM 2007. The conference will be a good opportunity to discuss projects which could be submitted to EC. Details about the conference can be found on CMRDI's website:
