The success of tomorrow stems from the steps taken today. As we move on into the 21st century, the CSSP takes steps to tackle the challenges in Egyptian science and technology by planting the seeds for future advancement in these fields.
The increasing importance of science and technology and their role in human development compels us to encourage their public awareness and promote scientific excellence.
Discoveries build the foundation for future programs and advancement, contributing to the improvement of the quality of life and economic competitiveness. Therefore, the CSSP aims to provide a mechanism to initiate and sustain collaborative research projects.
We recognize the need for international collaboration. The aim behind this international collaboration is not the importing of solutions but the adaptation of these solutions to the problems faced locally.
One of our goals is the establishment of productive, mutually beneficial relationships between Egyptian and foreign science and engineering communities. This is intended to encourage the use and development of complementary experience and skills between the Egyptian researcher and the foreign researcher.
As junior researchers become involved in collaborative research projects, we guarantee the emergence of generations of outstanding scientists. Thus, contributing to the wealth of the nation.
Our strategy includes the following:
- Sponsoring scientific research projects of promise
- Creating a network of international collaboration
- Contributing to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge and technology via conferences and workshops
- Limiting the impediments faced by researchers thereby maximizing the allocation of their resources to the exploration of science
- Supporting activities that enhance career progression and working conditions
We wish to invest in scientists of high potential and those who would like to dedicate themselves to research, where their love for knowledge and discovery is what drives them on. The fields we support are many, ranging from Agricultural Sciences to Physics and Astronomy. However, we envision a time when there is not only one center overseeing all these fields, but a center for each of these fields, catalyzing each one's success.
Committed, we move to build a brighter future where discoveries in science and technology are integrated in our daily lives and evident in our nation's scientific and technical capabilities.
