12 October 2010 The Final Copy

All the participants of the Coptic Studies Conference kindly requested to send a final copy of their paper maximumby the end of November 2010. If not, we are obliged to send the preliminary copy of your paper to be refereed.


01 September 2010 Keynote Speakers

The Calligraphy Center have the pleasure to announce our Keynote Speakers

There will be three plenary sessions, as follows:

1. 21 September: Coptology and its Importance to Egypt and the World. by Prof. Jacques van der Vliet.

2. 22 September: Study in Alexandria late in the of Fifth Century according to the Syrian History of Sāwīrus the Antiochus, by Prof. Youhanna Nessim Youssef.

3. 23 September: The Future of Coptic Studies in Egypt, by Prof. Stephen Emmel.


07 June 2010 Accommodation of the attendants

ِAccommodation of the attendants will not be covered by BA.


20 May 2010 Announcement of Accepted Papers

The accepted papers will be announced on the 15 June 2010.


17 May 2010 Submission of Manuscripts

Each speaker must hand over a complete copy of his study to the organizing committee one month prior to the conference date (by the end of August 2010), in order to have his accommodation expenses (Hotels & Meals) covered. Footnotes should be formatted according to Adgadiyat guidelines.
