2005 BA RESEARCH GRANTS

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is presenting research grants for young Egyptian postdoctoral researchers seeking funds in one of the following areas of study:

• Agricultural Sciences
• Earth Sciences
• Biology
• Information Technology
• Biochemistry & Biophysics
• Mathematics
• Chemistry
• Medical Sciences
• Engineering Sciences and Technologies
• Physics and Astronomy

Eligibility and Deadlines:

1. Egyptian scholars who have completed their PhD within the past five years (following December 1999) or who will complete their PhD before the end of December 2005.
2. Applicants must have a current position at a public/private academic or research institution in Egypt.
3. Currently engaged or can arrange to work on a joint research project with foreign counterpart(s) at a university or research center abroad.
4. Applicants must not have exceeded 35 years of age by January 2005.
5. Grant applications must be submitted before 15 July 2005.
