The Alexandria Library

Scholars Cooperative (ALSC)

The Alexandria Library Scholars Cooperative (ALSC) project is a joint venture between the Art Science Research Laboratory (ASRL), New York and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The project aims at disseminating human knowledge worldwide and facilitating communication between scholars through cyberBook + Systems software.

The cyberBook + portal integrates an online lecture system, an online library network, an online publishing system as well as an online messaging module, thus allowing scholars all over the world to share and exchange ideas, lectures, researches and seminars. Accordingly, scholars at a global scale will share valuable knowledge and intellectual properties.

Through the cyberLocker module, scholars will also be able to store their essays, course materials and address books as well as personal videos. They will then have access to their material from any computer around the world.

This global network, not limited to individual scholars, will lead to a revolution in the field of education in both developed and developing countries.
