Biography:

He is a member of the Executive Board of C-1 World Dialogue, and honorary chairman of the Foreign Press Association of Cairo. Prior to joining the AUC Faculty, Prof. Schleifer served as NBC News Cairo Bureau Chief, Middle East correspondent for Jeune Afrique Magazine and special correspondent for The New York Times. Most recently he served as Al Arabiya News Channel Bureau Chief in Washington DC. He is a Senior Fellow at the Royal Aal al Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought.
