The BA Sadat Museum is organizing its annual competition on the occasion of the Sinai Liberation Day on Wednesday, April 25 2018, at the museum. The event includes a detailed guided tour, followed by the competition and the announcement of the results. Afterwards, the prizes will be given to the winners and participants.

Sinai Liberation Day falls on 25 April of each year, commemorating the day Egypt recovered Sinai following the withdrawal of the last Israeli soldier, in accordance with the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel, except for the city of Taba, which Israel refused to hand over and was subsequently recovered by Egypt through international arbitration on 15 March 1989.

The BA Sadat Museum was established with the participation of the family of President Sadat, as the first museum of its kind dedicated to the late president in Alexandria. The museum was built on an area of 260 square meters in the southern section of the library. Mrs. Jehan Sadat gifted the museum with a collection, which was displayed for the very first time at the library, in recognition of the efforts exerted by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and to achieve an old dream of establishing a permanent museum for the late president worthy of his memory.
