The BA celebrates the World Food Day

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina in cooperation with the FAO organize the World Food Day celebration on Monday, 22 October 2018, under the theme “Ending World Hunger by 2030, is Possible”.

This event will ring alarm bells about the recent increase in hunger figures, and call upon the concerned parties to get back on the right track through showing serious commitment to one of the main sustainable development goals, and shedding lights on the significance of collective work to put an end to famines.

The celebration will begin with inaugural speeches, followed by cinema screening oftwo movies: “World Food Day” and “The FAO in Egypt”. The celebration will include competitions  between participating universities, namely:  Cairo University, Ain Shams University, and Alexandria University. Every university will participate with its best three graduation projects followed by presentations. The projects will be assessed by a jury panel, and at the end of the celebration, results will be announced and certificates will be handed to winners.
