Lamia is a “jack-of-all-trades” working to master one. She is a Chemical Engineer, with a passion for writing and science. She believes in the power of the written word. As a fulltime mom to one of the world’s busiest little girls, she has developed multi-tasking superpowers to keep up, juggling her Master's in Chemical Engineering, while part-timing for Google and writing scientific articles for pleasure. In her free time, she keeps busy devouring books and lifting weights, often simultaneously.

Mariam Elsayed graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Alexandria University, and obtained a Diploma in Animal Surgery and Anesthesia. Studying surgery is one of her interests, and she discovered her passion for writing when she joined SCIplanet team in 2016. Her favorite writing topics are medicine, surgery, biology, pharmacology, food safety, veterinary medicine, and animal behavior. She believes that writing gives one a chance to spread knowledge, simplify complicated scientific topics, and answer some of the readers’ questions.

Marwa graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, in 2009. She has gained interest in reading English literature at an early age, and started writing articles as a freelancer every now and then. Now, a full-time mother of two lovely daughters and a pharmacist with huge passion for writing, her favorite fields are pharmacology, genetics, biotechnology, sociology, psychology, parenting and positive discipline.

Marwa is a medical and health writer with experience as a cardiologist. She enjoys sharing medical knowledge and simplifying complex scientific topics into enjoyable and approachable articles for the public. She believes that health literacy can help people lead healthier and more enjoyable lives.

Moataz Abdelmegid is an Energy Engineer with a background in renewable energy systems and chemical engineering. He holds an MSc in Energy Engineering, from Technical University of Berlin. He is an alumnus of Climate-KIC programe, European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). His career line has been in serving efficient use of energy and in shaping a sustainable future. He is interested in research, specifically in the fields of energy analysis, electrochemistry, and energy economics; and he is strongly engaged in environmental protection. He is a keen follower of the global efforts in climate change mitigation.

Mona Shehata graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English Department. She has a BA in Linguistics and Translation, and a Translation Diploma.
She has over 6 years’ experience in translation, transcription, subtitling, and proofreading. She has been a full-time translator, as well as a freelancer, with companies and individuals. She has previously served as a Senior Translator and Team Leader of translation and data entry. She is also a part-time translator and editor with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. In addition, she volunteers as an Editor in HR Revolution Middle-East online magazine.
