Abstract:
This article is about ICCO's campaign “Women Standing Strong” that seeks to raise public awareness of UN-resolution 1325, which urges a bigger say for women in post-conflict reconstruction efforts. Women can play a very important role in conflict and peace processes, but unfortunately they are often ignored by their wider communities. ICCO wants women in (post) conflict countries to be part of the decision making regarding their countries' future.
