Question: What is the best way to improve global health  and science training? Answer:  Improve lectures
Question:  How do we improve global health and science lectures? Answer: Faculty worldwide share their best PowerPoint lectures
Question:  Will faculty share lectures? Answer: Yes,  The Supercourse has 50.000 faculty from 172 countries who created an open source Library with 4700 lectures.

We built a "Library of Lectures"  which is like the Carnegie Free library, but instead of sharing books we share out best slides and lectures.  We have the highest global health page ranks for any educational institution.  We are the highest ranking global health educational project on the web.   Our program consists of:

1. Open Source:   Our Global faculty  shares their best, slides/lectures on prevention. The experienced faculty member can beef up their lectures. New instructors reduce preparation time with better lectures. Faculty in developing countries have current prevention information. 2. "Empower" Educators:   Teachers world wide create  their own lectures. We aid them providing top quality slides and lectures.
3. Faculty: 35 Nobel Prize winners, 37 IOM members, 55 NAS , members and other top people contributed lectures by Sept. 1. Gil Omenn, AAAS, Vint Cerf, the father of the Internet, Elias Zerhouni, former head of NIH, etc. contributed lectures. 4. Mirrored Servers and CDs:  We have 45 mirrored servers in
Egypt,  Sudan, China, Mongolia and others. We have distributed 20,000 Supercourse CDs
5. Lectures Teaching a Million: The best teachers should
produce the best lectures to teach 1000s if not millions.
6.  JIT Lectures: We created scholarly disaster lectures within days after the Bam Earthquake, Rita, Pakistan Earthquake and Avian Flu and reached >200,000.
7. Legacy Lectures: We are collecting the best of the best lectures from Nobel Prize winners (70 lectures), members of the IOM(117 lectures), NAS(118 lectures), and American Epidemiologic Society(200 lectures). 8. Library of Alexandria Supercourse of Science: We are
ramping up to collect the best lectures of science. http://ssc.bibalex.org/home/list.jsf
9. Library of Alexandria WHO-NCD-Supercourse Certificate course:  We are developing a global WHO Non-communi-cable disease certificate course for work force capacity building for NCDs.  The supercourse provides "curriculum in a box", e.g. template lectures about NCDs that can be modified for local teaching in Engineering Schools, Nursing Schools, Medical Schools.  Global Internet based testing will assure that a certificate in Qatar is the same as in Pittsburgh, Tokyo and Mali. 10. Productivity: We have published over 170 papers in leading medical journals including Science, Nature, Lancet, BMJ, Nature Medicine, PNAS among others.  Our web pages have been identified as in the top 100 by PC Magazine. We receive 75-100 million hits a year.  We rank #1 and 2 our of 60 million sites for Global Health Lectures. We are one of the top ranked sites in health.
