Arabic Library Standards

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has signed a cooperation agreement with the Arab States Research and Education Networks (ASREN), in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Soliman, Acting Deputy Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and Mr. Yousef Torman, Director General of the Arab States Research and Education Networks (ASREN).

In the speech delivered on his behalf by Dr. Mohamed Soliman, Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, said that this cooperation helps build a modern digital infrastructure that allows access to open scientific resources and provides real capacity-building programs. He also stated that the agreement would result in the organization of events and conferences that enrich scientific debates and bridge the distances between researchers and librarians from different countries.
