Clarivate Plc (NYSE: CLVT), a leading global provider of transformative intelligence, today announced the launch of the enhanced SkyRiver platform, designed to give libraries an affordable way to source, manage and share open bibliographic metadata while supporting interoperability across institutions, consortia and library management systems.

Using open metadata by default, SkyRiver makes records as reusable as possible while respecting contributor requirements, licensing obligations and institutional governance policies. Libraries retain institutional choice over participation and contribution.

Libraries today face growing pressure to increase efficiency and adapt discovery services. Trusted, transparent and interoperable metadata provides an important foundation for responsible discovery. To support this, the enhanced SkyRiver platform introduces AI-powered record creation capabilities to create metadata more efficiently.

Yoel Goldenberg, Senior Vice President, Product Management, Academia & Government at Clarivate, said: “Libraries need trusted metadata that can be shared, reused and integrated across systems without sacrificing choice, transparency or governance.
