The Bibliotheca Alexandrina participated in the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Conference, which was held in Dublin, Ireland, from 26 to 29 July 2022, under the title “Inspire, Engage, Enable, Connect”, after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions Conference is the most prominent in the field of library and information science. It is organized annually to include thousands of institutions, associations, librarians, major publishing houses, and all those who work in this sector from all over the world.

At this year’s Conference, the BA presented several projects, services, and programs for researchers and librarians. It also cooperated with the Association des Bibliothécaires de France, at a pavilion held as part of a fair organized on the sidelines of the Conference. The pavilion promoted the programs and services provided by the BA in different languages, including the BA Information for Africa (BAIFA), the Diplôme Universitaire en Sciences de l’Information et des Bibliothèques (DUSIB), the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing, e-learning services, as well as the BA Programs for Professional Development.
