  Abstract

Governing in a World of Climate Change

Climate change and the earth's entering an era where forever more humanity will direct the environmental fate of its home, presents the largest governance challenges in history. This involves all levels of governance, but the focus will naturally rest particularly on the United Nations and on national governments. What are the possibilities of govenments and the UN changing patterns of governance in time? After a review, the audience will be invited to present best current cases for consideration. The challenges are too new to have hard answers, but such talent will be present at BioVision 2008 that a very productive discussion should be possible.
