• A webinar on Rural Sustainable Development and Sustainable Agriculture in Egypt

The webinar is held within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Project: 

Steering Migration through Sustainable Development Euro-Egyptian Program for Agriculture and Rural Development DeVilag 

The Center for Special Studies and Program at Bibliotheca Alexandrina?s Academic Research Sector organizes a webinar on Rural Sustainable Development and Sustainable Agriculture in Egypt, on Wednesday, 16 December 2020 at 1:00 pm GMT+2. 

The webinar will discuss the challenges facing sustainable rural development and sustainable agriculture in Egypt, and their different aspects within the Egyptian context. It will also present models that aim at supporting rural areas. The webinar will present an overview of the DeVilag Projects efforts in tackling rural development in Egypt.

This webinar is held under the framework of the ERASUMS+ project: Steering Migration through Sustainable Development Euro-Egyptian Program for Agriculture and Rural Development DeVilag. This project is an international collaboration between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and a number of Egyptian and European universities: RWTH Aachen, Germany; The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Sweden; University of Nicosia, Cyprus; Cairo University, Egypt; Fayoum University, Egypt; Heliopolis University, Egypt; The American University in Cairo, Egypt; and the Agricultural Research Center, Egypt 

The project aims to support the Egyptian rural community with the necessary qualified graduate and university expertise to improve agricultural productivity, enable more sustainable food production, develop poor villages, and enhance farmers income and their living conditions to prevent migration to cities or beyond.
