Biography:

Prof. Hala El Saeed obtained her PhD in 1989; a Master�s Degree in 1980; and a BA in Economics all from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. She was appointed as the first Elected Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University in October 2011, and occupied the position of Vice President of Cairo University for Scientific Research and Foreign Relations in September 2013. Prof. El Saeed also led the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), which is the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for eight years, during which the Minister managed to achieve the international accreditation of the Institute (2006-2008). She furthermore worked as Executive Director of the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), January 2003-August 2011; Professor in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University since 29 September 2004; Advisor to the International Finance Unit, Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) of the Council of Ministers, 1995-1999; and Head of Economics Department, King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 1990-1992.
