Brucellosis is a serious zoonotic disease affecting man and all domestic animals including camels and usually transmitted from animals to humans. It is considered as one of the most economically important reproductive disease of livestock. Camel is susceptible to both species of Brucella (B.abortus and B.melitensis). Some serological tests were performed. The camels(camelus dromedaries) is a multipurpose animal. They play an important role socially and economically in the past and the present especially in the nomadic areas. They are used for many purposes including consumption of their meat and milk, utilization of their wool and hides, riding, racing, transportation and traction for agricultural purposes, traditional oil milling and pulling of water from surface wells. And they are also exported to other counters, namely Egypt, Libya and Arabian Gulf counters (Abu Sin, 1982). The purpose of this study was to investigate in to possible causes of culling of camels and the seroprevalence of brucellosis among slaughtered camels in Tambool abattoir
