Biography:

• He lived in Liverpool for several decades. He attended the University of Liverpool where he obtained his degrees in engineering and, later, his doctorate in economic and human development.
• Samir worked in both the public and private sectors, mainly in Liverpool and primarily in fields related to the management and provision of public services.
• He is a research fellow at the University of Liverpool. Samir served as a non-executive director at the Liverpool Women's Hospital from 1994 to 2001 and at the South Liverpool PCT up to September 2006.
• November 2000 up till Present Research Fellow, School of Politics and Communication, University of Liverpool.
