Arts in the Classroom - Fayoum Workshop

Within the framework of the program Support to Cultural Diversity and Creativity in Egypt, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organized the tenth workshop under the theme of “Arts in the Classroom” in Al-Fayoum governorate, in the period between the 30th of March to the 2nd of April, 2015. The workshop was held at the branch of the Exploratory Centres and Cities of Science and Technology in New Fayoum district. Around forty-five students and ten teachers from different governmental and elementary schools attended the event. These included: Azza Zidan Language school, Al-Mandara elementary school, Demo Sports school, Al-Ryadia Boys school, Mohamed Sabry school, El-Nour elementary school and Osman Ibn Afan elementary school.
Fostered by “Arts in the Classroom”, the event comes under a series of interactive workshops that are specifically designed for the students of governmental schools, and are held all over Egypt. The workshops have been prepared to expose young students to the arts and, accordingly, to enhance their artistic talents and their understanding of culture.
