  • Martin Scorsese is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and film historian. He is the founder of the World Cinema Foundation, a recipient of the AFI Life Achievement Award for his contributions to the cinema and has won awards from the Oscars, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Directors Guild of America. He is president of the Film Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to film preservation and the prevention of the decaying of motion picture film stock.

  • Martin Scorsese, the legendary Film Director, was interviewed by Dr. Ismail Serageldin about cinema as an art form. The interview tackled the influences that shaped Scorsese’s passion for cinema as a child, the making of some of his favorite films, his techniques, as well as his endeavor in the World Cinema Foundation.
