This lecture is organized by the BA Antiquities Museum. Dr. Mohamed Abdelrahman Al-Shaffei, Head of Scientific Research at the Ministry of Antiquities Projects Sector, will discuss how sarcophagi developed throughout the Pharaonic era. Featuring inscriptions and religious paintings, the sarcophagi depict the afterlife according to the ancient Egyptian religion, how ancient Egyptians viewed the afterlife and its gods, and how they constantly ornamented their tombs and sarcophagi with different inscriptions and symbols.
