Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, proposed to invite Ms. Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, to serve on the BA Board of Trustees, which includes several prominent international figures in various fields. Dr. Elfeki’s proposal came as part of the BA Board of Trustees’ third day meetings, chaired by Dr. Farouk Al-Okdah, Head of the Executive Committee of the BoT.

Dr. Elfeki added that Ms. Ardern was internationally hailed due to her exemplary humane stances towards the people of New Zealand in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on two mosques in Christchurch. He maintained that she embodies the true values of tolerance, accepting the other, and rejection of violence, which are the same values upheld by the BA, a truly leading international cultural institution.
