BA Participates in the Francophone Digital Network (RFN) General Assembly

Posted on

The BA francophone network and the Information Technology Department participated in the General Assembly of the Réseau Francophone Numérique (RFN)—the Francophone Digital Network—as BA representatives. The assembly was held on 26 and 27 April 2017 at the Royal Library of Belgium in Brussels.

RFN is a collective of 26 of the largest francophone documentary institutions from 19 countries. It aims to provide documentary sources of francophone heritage online. Thus, several large institutions joined forces and resources to preserve and publish francophone heritage through one platform, RFN, under the sponsorship of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

The BA has been a vital and active RFN member since 2006. It intends to use the RFN platform to provide a number of e-books on various topics, including French language, shared history, human rights, and the economic, social, and cultural exchange between different societies.
