The Visits Department offers volunteering opportunities for the general public. Interested applicants can hand in their CVs at the Visits Department Reception Desk or submit them via e-mail.

Volunteering opportunities are available in the following fields:

 

  • RECEPTION

Role and Responsibilities

  • Serving as the front man to BA visitors through answering inquiries about BA sections, providing directions, and handling the suggestions and complaints of the visitors

  • Reserving guided visits and helping in tour arrangements

  • Making daily excel statistics for the number of visitors received during the day

  • Managing filing systems and archiving

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent command of at least one foreign language (English or French)

  • Verbal communication and customer service skills

  • Neat appearance and formal presentability

  • Willing to do repetitive work and ability to work under stress

  • Computer and data entry skills

  • Flexibility concerning working hours (shift duties, weekends,  and official holidays)

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leading BA guided tours for different categories

  • Setting and explaining the cultural panoramic show “Culturama”

  • Handling special shows for the public, such as the Children’s Show, and “The BA: Past, Present and Future” movie

Required Qualifications

  • General knowledge of historical events and their causes

  • Excellent command of at least one foreign language is required for guided tours for non-Arabic speakers

  • Neat appearance and formal presentability

  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

  • Should have a clear and pleasant tone of voice

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under stress

  • Reliable and quick learner

  • Flexibility concerning working hours (shift duties, weekends, and official holidays) when required

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of children under six years old, accompanied by parents, hosted at the Day Care

  • Encouraging children's abilities and creative development through stories, games, coloring activities, planting, hand crafts, drawing, and imaginative play

  • Handling special shows for the children, such as the “Children’s Show”

  • Help in special programs for nurseries

  • Help in events organized by the Day Care

Required Qualifications

  • The ability to work with children under six years old

  • Patience and oral communication and customer service skills

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Neat appearance

  • Reliable and quick learner
