1- The Culturama

Culturama is a panoramic show about Egyptian history and heritage displayed in chronological order from the Pharaonic period, Coptic and Islamic periods, to modern Egypt. It also showcases the main tourist attractions in Alexandria.

The show lasts for 15-20 minutes, and is displayed from Sunday to Thursday as per the following schedule (the show will be displayed for a minimum of five people with prior reservation):

Notes:

  • Main Library admission tickets are required to attend the show.
  • The maximum capacity of the hall is 70 seats.
  • Prior reservation for Culturama is a must for school visits and groups, and the reservation should be at least 5 days in advance.
  • In case of technical problems, the show may be cancelled without prior notice.

2- Sadat Panorama (available in Arabic only)

The Sadat Panorama presents a detailed and unique show on the life of the late President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, from birth to his martyrdom. The show is displayed every Thursday, at 1:30 pm.

Main Library admission tickets are required (the show will be displayed for a minimum of five people with prior reservation).

 

 

 

 


3- Heliopolis (Baron Empain’s Dream) (available in Arabic only)

Heliopolis is a panoramic show about the establishment of the city and its most significant landmarks.

The show is displayed every Tuesday at 1:30 pm.

Main Library admission tickets required (the show will be displayed for a minimum of five people with prior reservation).

 

 

 

 

 


4- Fatimid Cairo Panorama (available in Arabic only)

The Fatimid Cairo Panorama offers a presentation on the history of Al-Muizz Li-Din Allah Fatimi Street, which is currently in Al-Azhar district. Among the most significant and famous landmarks of this area are Al-Azhar Mosque, the sabil of Muhammad Ali in Al-Nahaseen Street, Bab Zuweila, Al-Ghuri Dome and the Qalawun Complex ...

The show is presented every Wednesday at 1:30 pm.

The show operates if there is a prior reservation for at least five individuals made through the Guided Tours desk. It can be booked using the Library admission ticket.


5- The Book of the Dead (coming soon) 

The Book of the Dead is an illustration of the ancient Egyptians’ beliefs in what they will encounter during their journey to the other world. This papyrus is considered the first operatic work in Hieroglyphic.

Making prior reservations at the Guided Tours Desk is required.


6- Congo Show (currently unavailable) 

The Congo Panorama is one of the most important achievements of the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT). It is a panoramic show that aims to document the natural and human heritage of Congo, and strengthen the Egyptian relations with other African countries, especially the Nile Basin countries.
