The “Higher Education Funding Opportunities in the Arab Region” online directory aspires to be a useful and practical resource for both higher education students and institutions throughout twelve countries in the Arab Region. It seeks to offer information on scholarships, trainings, loans and grant opportunities provided by renowned local and regional donors and corporates.
Indeed, this online directory is not inclusive of all donors supporting higher education in the Region. It is but an attempt at mapping out the existing donors that were reachable and responsive at the time. This directory being the culmination of the mapping exercise that took place over two years, functions to equip youth/students to better access funding opportunities to complete their undergraduate and postgraduate studies. We are hoping that the information published about the donors will pave the way to developing collaboration and synchronization between them and encourage more initiatives to boost philanthropy in Higher Education in the Arab Region.
This directory has become a reality thanks to the generous support of the Ford Foundation Regional Office in Cairo. Acknowledgement is also due to all the donors and corporations that participated in this directory for their keenness, transparency and patience to cooperate with us.
