Founded by Scott Gerard in 1993, TECHNOkids Inc. first began operations as a local computer-learning center in Ontario, Canada. The company development was in response to children’s need for basic technical skills training. In 1998, TECHNOkids Inc. formed unique partnerships with local schools. Staff at these schools work with the curriculum development team to field-test each project and offer feedback. This on-site observation ensures that TECHNOkids Computer Curriculum is suitable for students and teachers.

Today, TECHNOkids has offices in North America, Central America, South America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the mission to combine education and technology to provide children with the core computing skills that will best prepare them for the future.
