Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in collaboration with the Egyptian Association for Astronomy, are honored to host Akram Amin to shed lights on his journey in studying space and training to be an astronaut.

Akram Amin Abd Al Latif is the First Egyptian to travel to space; he is from Cairo and studied at the German University in Cairo through a scholarship. In 2009, he began his studies in Stuttgart he got the bachelor’s degree in communication then the PhD in aircraft engineering from Tom Institute in Germany.

Akram joined the scientific program in “Vor Haeir” organization which trains those who are interested in being astronauts. The applicants will be filtered to reach 11 only, Engineer Akram Amin is one of them. He hopes to continue his training in NASA in the United States of America.
