Intel BASEF Egyptian Winners Earned the Medal of Distinction

The Planetarium Science Center congratulates Sarah Ezzat, Mona Elsayed and Hoda Mamdouh, Intel BASEF 2014 finalists who won the 3rd grand award at Intel ISEF that was held during the period 11-16 May 2014 at the United States of America, for earning the Medal of Distinction from the Egyptian president Abdel Fatah Elsisi, at the Science Festival organized by the Ministry of Education held at Nasr city conference Center on 8 September 2014.

 

 

Egyptian ministries, public figures and media representators attended the festivity, among them Eng. Ibrahim Mehleb, the Egyptian prime minister, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Elnasr, the Minister of Education, the Minister of Tourism, the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of Communications, the Minister of Industry and Commerce and the Minister of Awqaf. Also, among the attendees were Al-Azhar and the church representatives in addition to the Ministry of Education eminent figures.

 

 

It is worth mentioning that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina organizes the Intel Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair in collaboration with Intel Egypt and the Ministry of Education since 2007, the collaboration between the Planetarium Science Center and the Ministry of Education continues for two successive years in an attempt to spread the fair in 6 additional governments in addition to Alexandria; Dakahleya, Gharbeya, Kafr Elshiekh, Behera, Damietta and Marsa Matrouh. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has organized 3 competition to screen the proposed projects in the 6 governrates in addition to Alexandria and the school fairs, 470 project were proposed form about 938 student aging 14-17 years old.
