The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) in collaboration with Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) will hold the second local robotics competition in November 2014, The Robotheca Alexandrina Olympiad (RAO). It comprises two categories: the Diver Robot and the Robofight.
The competition will stimulate and engage students in exploring their potential in engineering, IT, science, and math, as well as project management. Participants must have basic knowledge of electronics and programming.
Specialized judges will assess team performance. Awards will be offered to the first three winning teams, best design, teamwork, presentation skills and other skills.
* Registered teams can carry out rehearsals on the first day of the event, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Target age
• Diver Robots category: 12–18 years old (1–3 participants in the team)
• Robofight category: 12–14 years old (1–5 participants in the team)
Registration
Online registration: 14 September – 14 October 2014
Registration is completed by paying the fees.

• Diver Robots: EGP 500.-
• Robofight: EGP 350.-
