Exhibition: “Alphabet of the Universe”: From CERN to North Africa and Middle East

Exhibition Production
The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in collaboration with CERN have established  the exhibition of “Fundamental Physics Exhibition, from CERN to North Africa and the Middle East”. CERN is the European Organization for Nuclear Research, founded in 1954 with the mandate of establishing a world-class fundamental physics research organization in Europe.

The Planetarium Science Center and CERN aim at disseminating scientific culture and the key role of fundamental research in the creation of a sustainable future. It will also contribute to the improvement of the quality of everyday life and in uniting people throughout the world.

About the exhibition

The exhibition describes the main open problems of  fundamental physics, the tools used to solve them and the applications of these technologies to society. The Exhibition is substantially inspired by and based on CERN’s existing exhibitions and is partially designed and fabricated by the PSC.

The exhibition simplifies scientific information through: Hands-on experiments, interactive experiments, interesting videos and other exhibits.
 
Dates and Venues:

From 19 January 2015 and for a whole year, at the ALEXploratorium, Planetarium Science Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
