The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) in collaboration with Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) will hold the first local robotics competition in November 2013, The Robotheca Alexandrina Olympiad (RAO). The competition comprises two categories: the Diver Robot and the Robofight.
The competition will stimulate and engage students in exploring their potential in engineering, IT, science, and math, as well as project management. Participants must possess basic knowledge of electronics and programming.
Specialized referees will assess teams’ performances. Awards will be offered to the first three winning teams, best design, teamwork, presentation skills, and other skills.
* Registered teams can have trials on 27 November 2013.
Competition date:
27-28 November 2013.
Target age:
- Diver Robot category: 18-12 years old.
- Robofight category: 14-12 years old.
- Diver Robot: EGP 500
- Robofight: EGP 350
