FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is a result of an impressive alliance between FIRST and LEGO Companies. The FLL is an international hands-on, sport-like, robotics program for children 9-14 years of age. Guided by mentors and their own imagination, FLL students solve real engineering challenges, develop important life skills, and learn to make positive contributions to society, enhancing characteristics such as team-building, problem-solving, analytical thinking and creativity.

This year, the PSC organized the third FLL in Egypt Competition, under the auspices of the Egyptian Minister of Education. The mission was Power Puzzle; fourteen competing teams from different Egyptian governorates were required to explore how energy production and consumption choices affect the planet and our quality of life today, tomorrow, and for future generations.

The finale of the competition took place on 17-18 February 2008; the “Techno Future 1” team took first place and traveled to the United States of America to represent Egypt in the International Competition where it took the twenty fourth position and won an honorary prize for the robot design.
