BA Team Wins in the MSA Science Fair 2010

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has won a number of awards in the MSA Science Fair that took place on 10 April 2010 at 6th of October University. The MSA Science Fair is held by the October University for Modern Sciences and Arts for the second year, targeting young inventors who have presented more about 70 projects.


The BA team has won two awards in the category of Engineering. The first place prize went to Amira Mohamed Madi for her project “Communication between the Deaf, the Mute and the Blind”. The prize was a full scholarship from the MSA University, where she would represent Egypt in the International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering & Environment) Project Olympiad.


Second place prize went to Belal Magdy Elsayed for his project “New Human Secure System for Marine's Safety”. The prize was a 75% scholarship from the MSA University, where he would represent Egypt in the 18th International Environmental Project Olympiad INEPO, which will be held in Turkey, 19-22 May 2010.


The team has won two more awards in the category of Science. The first place prize went to Ghada Abdelhady Reda for her project “Can Iridology Diagnose Proteome Schizophrenia?” The prize was a full scholarship from the MSA University. The third place prize went to Norhan Akram Soliman and Menaa Ahmed Kabary for their project “Prevent the Leakage of Natural Gas in the Air through Developing the Cooker”, where they were granted a 50% scholarship from the MSA University.


Moreover, the last award won by the team was in the category of Behavioral and Social Science. The third place prize went to Heba Ibrahim and Dalia Haroun for their project “Deaf Society, We are With You.” They were granted a 50% scholarship from the MSA University.
