An explosive and memorable End of Summer Program Festivity has crowned three months of thrill, discovery and fun at the Planetarium Science Center. The festivity has put yet another smile on the faces of the Summer Program 2011 participants and their parents.

The epitome of the festivity was certainly the Super Science Show, a most dynamic and exhilarating activity that gets children involved in exciting and curious hands-on experiments.

The ceremony opened with a brief speech by Mr. Ayman Elsayed, PSC Deputy Director, summarizing the Center’s activities and introducing the upcoming planetarium show to be released next summer. The opening was followed by a lottery where 33 lucky winners; three from the KG Group and ten from each of Group A, B and C; received a variety of gifts.

A movie to summarize the summer Program activities followed the lottery, it reflected the various activities held at the PSC during the past three months in addition to the fun the participants had. The day ended with the recognition of the PSC Volunteers who have a great role in making the program, and all PSC activities, such a success.

The Summer Program 2011 took place in the period from 12 June to 25 August. It included a variety of hands-on workshops, lectures, contests and programs. It provided the participants with the opportunity to explore their creativity and enrich their knowledge.

The PSC is about to launch its annual School Year Program; make sure to check out our website regularly for news and updates of all our activities and be part of the fun. For more information about the workshops offered by the program, please click here.
