Abstract: Some African countries with high HIV prevalence rates have adopted male circumcision as an HIV prevention strategy. An overview of the progress on male circumcision scale-up implementation in Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia as of July 2009 is presented.
