Abstract: The West is concerned that Turkey’s foreign policy has shifted away from its traditional allies to open up to its Arab and Central Asian neighbours. Some critics fear that the ruling party has a hidden Islamist agenda, but others argue that Turkey is merely adapting to changing developments in its region. This article discusses Turkey’s foreign policy.
