DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICS FROM THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS TO THE ERA OF SUPER-COMPUTERS

Mathematics has been called the Queen of the Sciences; it has a light and wisdom of its own.

The presentation consists of three major parts.

The first part deals with “What is Mathematics?”

The second part deals with the history of developments of mathematics since the time of ancient Egyptians to the present days, which covers a period of about 5000 years.

The third part deals with the development of some specific problems.
