During the past 5 years the Lingua Franca of health research and science has become PowerPoint. Most of our current scientific knowledge has been assembled in PowerPoint lectures. Moreover the growth of PowerPoint on the net has been astonishing. In 1994 there were few lectures, now there are over 5 million. If we could establish a global system to make the academic lectures freely accessible in a virtual Library of lectures we could markedly improve the sharing of our prevention knowledge.

Supercourse is the global library of lectures shared for free by 10000 faculty members from 152 countries of the world. It was originally funded by NASA and currently funded by the National Library of Medicine, NIH, USA
