This table gives the major features of 14 Asiatic countries. POP is Population. HIV % is prevalence. AIDS stands for living with AIDS (Live). Brunei actually has 358,000 cases of AIDS. Then LP is 0.1/0.358 = 0.279 LP. Also Taiwan has 0.203 LP. India is in an extremely dangerous position. ¿ Why ? If China has 850,000 cases living with HIV, then it has 0.671 LP. If it really has 1.5 million cases, then China has 1.184 LP. Is China in the same dangerous position as India having vast territories and tremendous population ? Do they give enough priority to AIDS, and are their public clinic systems truely financed and operative, especially in relation to serotesting?
