As part of a wider systematic review of the incidence and prevalence of schizophrenia, we present data and analyses related to the incidence of this disorder. We also briefly present the methods of the analyses and the key characteristics of the included studies (divided into core studies, cohort and Other Special Groups). We will describe the distribution of rates and then sort these rates to examine several main hypotheses.
