Center of
Endocrinology «Sibdiab» and Institute of Internal Medicine are involved into several
epidemiological studies of DM in Siberia. All of these studies are well standardized: The
study of Incidence of DM among children is a part of WHO DIAMOND Program, the study of the
prevalence of DM (age group 25-64 years) was a part of population screening according to
WHO MONICA Program and Study among native population of Chukotka was conducted according
to joint protocol of investigation among the University of Manitoba(Canada) and Institute
of Internal Medicine and was a part of Alaska-Siberia medical research Program. |
