To estimate the effect of an isoenergetic substitution of total protein for total carbohydrate with cancer incidence and mortality from cancer, CHD and all causes in the Iowa Women’s Health Study (a change that would be expected while adhering to a higher-protein diet).
We also wanted to estimate the effect of an isoenergetic substitution of one type of protein for another type with these outcomes.
