This lecture originated from discussions held within the Armed Forces Epidemiological Board Injury Prevention and Control Work Group. This group convened to (1) determine the burden of injuries in the armed forces across the spectrum of health, (2) identify data sources with value for injury surveillance, and (3) provide recommendations for the best use of these data sources for injury prevention.
