It is a unique Andalusian Manuscript dealing with different kinds of ink.
The book presents the different ways of manufacturing inks and colors, and how the design a ruler to get a symmetrical harmonious scripts. The manuscript referred also to the technique of writing with what is nowadays called “secret ink” and how to protect books from mice by using certain inks.
The book also reported at the end a list containing the names of plants, spices and metals used in manufacturing inks and colors. It is worth mentioning that these materials have medical effects and were used for human medication.
