Science Festivity 2013
17 April 2013 - 19 April 2013

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing the seventh Science Festivity under the overarching theme of “Natural Hazards”. The Festivity aims to advance and share the knowledge of hazards mitigation and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Increasing public awareness of natural hazards risk shall significantly reduce the risks of the death, injury, economic cost, and destruction of natural and cultural resources caused by natural disasters.

The three-day event is divided into a variety of extracurricular activities including plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, interactive exhibits, in addition to the always intriguing Super Science Show. With this Festivity, we aim to communicate science to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Participate in the interactive knowledge experience offered at your fingertips; enjoy lifelong learning at our Science Village, which comprises more than 50 kiosks.

This is an open and free invitation for individuals, groups and families to join us at the Science Festivity 2013, on 17-18 April, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Plaza; and on 19 April, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Teachers Club.
